LIFTX BATTERY ADAPTER INSTALLATION

• Boards: All LIFT5 and LIFT5 F eFoils  
• Batteries: LIFTX Battery only 
• Not Compatible With: LIFT4 and all previous generations and models

Step 1: Inspect Components 

Before installation, ensure: 

• The battery pocket (in the LIFT5 board) is clean and dry. 
• The LIFTX Battery Adapter is free of debris or damage. 
• The LIFTX Battery is fully functional and properly charged.  

 Step 2: Install the Adapter 

1. Align the LIFTX Battery Adapter with the battery pocket inside the LIFT5 board. 

2. Carefully lower the adapter into the battery compartment.
3. Press down gently until the adapter sits flush and secure. 

Step 3: Install the LIFTX Battery 

1. Align the LIFTX Battery with the adapter cavity.

2. Lower the battery vertically into the adapter.
3. Ensure proper connection and a snug fit.
4. Rotate the battery handle into its closed and locked position.
5. Confirm the battery and adapter are flush with the board and securely locked in place within the board.

Step 1: Remove the LIFTX Battery 

1. Power off the system.

2. Release and lift the LIFTX Battery straight up out of the adapter using the battery handle. 

Step 2: Remove the Adapter

1. Use the inside handle cutouts to remove the LIFTX Battery Adapter from the board’s battery pocket.  
2. Thoroughly rinse the adapter clean fresh water, removing any sand, debris, or salt water.
3. Store the adapter in a clean, dry location. 

• Always power off the battery before installing or removing components.  
• Do not force the adapter or battery into place. 
• Ensure all components are fully seated before operation. 
• Inspect for wear or damage before each use. 
• Use only approved Lift Foils batteries and accessories.

• Rinse with fresh water after use, especially in saltwater environments. 
• Dry completely before storage. 
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. 
• Periodically inspect for cracks, deformation, or wear.

ISSUE:  The LIFTX Battery does not seat properly.

POSSIBLE CAUSE: The LIFTX Battery Adapter is not fully installed.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Remove both the battery and adapter and reinstall.

ISSUE:  The LIFTX Battery fits too loosely.

POSSIBLE CAUSE: There is debris in adapter.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Remove both the battery and adapter. Clean adapter and battery and reinstall.

ISSUE:  The LIFTX Battery does not power on the board.

POSSIBLE CAUSE: There may be an improper battery connection.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Reinstall battery and check alignment.

Important Notes 

• The LIFTX Battery may provide different ride times compared to Gen5 batteries. 
• Performance characteristics (weight, balance, ride feel) will vary. 
• Always verify battery charge before entering the water.
